It may seem crazy to decide where to have breakfast, lunch or dinner 6 months in advance, but when planning a trip to Walt Disney World resort, this is a key piece of the planning puzzle. If you have specific restaurants that you want to visit, particularly those with characters, or specialty dining experiences, you likely need to call exactly 180 days in advance to make those reservations.
Cinderella's Royal Table is one of the hardest reservations to get on all of Disney property. Another one that can be difficult is Le Cellier (a personal favorite of mine) in the Canada Pavillion at Epcot. If you have your heart set on a certain dining experience, date or time...set your alarm clock and make those reservations at exactly 180 days prior to your arrival date (for WDW resort guests) or 180 days prior to your dining date for those staying off property.
